American transfer students

As a community college transfer student myself, I know all too well how confusing and difficult it can be trying to transfer your previously earned credits to help you finish your degree. I even transferred within a state system that was supposed to be easier – not! I taught myself how to work the system and after graduating with my bachelor’s, I wanted to help other transfer students. Voilà! That’s how and why I began my career as a college advisor at my alma mater community college. I’ve been advising transfer students for over 25 years and here’s why I like UoPeople as a transfer destination to finish your degree:

Generous Transfer Credit Policy

Did you know you can transfer up to 75% of your undergraduate degree? For an associate degree, you can transfer up to 45 credits, and up to 90 credits for a bachelor’s degree….90 credits! UoPeople even accepts transfer credits toward master’s programs (about 15 credits depending on the program).

Low Cost

In addition to UoPeople’s tuition-free courses (you only pay the course assessment fees), you can transfer courses for only $17 per course. If you transfer courses from a learning partner, you can transfer up to 20 courses at no cost! UoPeople waives the transfer course fee as a partner benefit.

Upload Your Own Transcripts

With UoPeople, you don’t need to worry about paying for and sending away for official, sealed transcripts from your previously attended institution. If you’re transferring credits from a U.S. institution, you can simply upload an official transcript you already have directly within your UoPeople portal as you apply for admission. It’s easy!

Quick Transfer Course Evaluation

Within 3-4 days of completing your admission application and uploading your official transcripts, you will receive a review of your transfer courses that indicates courses eligible for transfer and how they may be applied toward your degree. Again, it’s easy! In addition to UoPeople’s tuition-free degree programs, you can finish your degree faster by transferring previously earned credits, saving you both time and money. UoPeople is the perfect transfer destination for community college students, students who had to stop out because of the high cost of their previously attended institution, or if life just happened. UoPeople can help you put your transfer credits to good use and get you back on track to help you finish your degree.
